No? We only really decided on this a few weeks ago. It's easier to describe things this way than the alternative.

[Because the whole "married in the future" and who even really knows the right word for their relationship as it was back home is a bit confusing to deal with. Especially with the next piece of information she has to share.

Leia pauses, biting at her lip as she decides how to even bring up Ben. But well, direct is probably for the best.]

Especially considering one of the people here from far in the future happens to be our son.

I would hate to have missed a wedding.

[The slight chill creeping around them as a result of his mentioning weddings (because he will miss it, and she knows it just as well, and it's why she can't bring herself to even pretend to entertain the idea of a big ceremony back home. But here? Well, that's a different idea and a conversation for a different time) dissipates immediately at his question.

Leia nods, a smile spreading across her face. Because well, Ben may be... a disaster, really, and there's a lot about him that she isn't sure how or if she even wants to explain, but his existence isn't one of those, not to Bail.]

His name is Ben. He's... not the most sociable person, but he's here.

Ben... that's a good name.

[He smiles. A grandson.]

Sociable or not. More family.

He is.

[Even if Ben might argue otherwise, too bad. He's stuck with Han, Leia, and Bail now, whether he likes it or not.]

It was strange to learn at first, though. He's older than I am here.

[Just how old, she's not totally sure. But older than 24.]

I imagine that was even stranger than running into you was.

[At least he's old enough that if he and Breha hadn't had so many difficulties, it wouldn't be unrealistic for him to have a child around Leia's age.]

[Well. About that. Leia glances away just briefly, but her attention is back on Bail soon enough. She actually isn't sure how Ben would react to him. Nor does she even know where to begin with... literally everything else Ben does like.]

[Because maybe that's better than her giving him directions and sending him off on his way.]

Even with everything else... it's always been family, that matters most.

[It's all so wonderful to hear, that there's more. What more could he ask for?]

It is. Out of everything I've learned about the future, Ben is the best part by far.

[Well. And also the worst part, given things. But even as big of a trainwreck as he is, knowing Ben exists is still something she's glad about.]

Han is family too, though.

[Just because well. She's not entirely sure how he feels about Han, even with her reassurances to Han that Bail probably liked him.]

[He's still not entirely sure what to make of Han, if he's to be perfectly honest. He doesn't know him very well yet. But in the end, only one things matters.]

He makes you very happy, doesn't he?

He does.

[He's stubborn and loud and they may bicker somewhat often (even if they're working on that, thanks to Kylo), but everything else balances those negatives out.]

I know he's different than anyone you might have thought I would end up with, but I promise he's a good man.
