[Her last conversation with Ezra has Leia's mind drifting to something she never really spent much time considering. And there's really only a few people she knows could help her with this.]
Is this a good time? There's something I was wondering about, and I'd like your help with it.
[Valentine's Day is decidedly not a thing in space, but well, most of the holidays everyone here seems to celebrate weren't a thing either. But if it's a holiday with meaning behind it that Leia can get behind, like this one, she has no qualms about celebrating along with it. Because a holiday celebrating the people you love and care for the most is one she can't disagree with.
It's only natural that she'd get Bail something, him being one of the most important people to her here, and it was just as natural that she'd choose to deliver this one herself. Which is why, on the 14th, Leia shows up at Bail's door, a box containing a few strawberry shortcake cupcakes in hand.]
[Bail smiles when he sees her. He also has something for her. It took him a while to find good approximation for Alderaanian ingredients, but the resulting pastries should taste of home]
I wasn't sure if you'd be with Han all day or not.
[She returns his smile, always glad to see him, holiday or no holiday.]
No, not all day. Han's at the airship docks right now, I'm sure. He bought a ship a few days ago, and he's been spending most of his time fixing it up.
[Which she's glad about, not just because Han has been in a fantastic mood since getting the ship, but also because with the ship as beat-up as it was, it needed the work.]
[the first person Leia reaches out to immediately after the confrontation with Anakin is Bail himself. Partially for some sort of comfort, if she's being honest, but largely because out of everyone, he's the one with the most pressing need to know. Since, after all, Anakin had threatened him. Repeatedly.
It's voice this time, not image, because Leia isn't sure she trusts herself to keep an even expression on her face. Even with her best efforts, the anger, hurt, and fear resulting from her encounter with Anakin pulse faintly in the background of her message. She's trying to keep it together, to not let on just how much she's actually bothered by all this, because it's not the time. Not when she has more pressing things to worry about first. Not when she expected this to happen eventually. She just didn't expect the threats to Bail that came along with it.]
[She's able to keep her voice level as she responds, somehow, but the fear, anger, and hurt from before are still there behind her words. She doesn't know who's responsible, but she's determined to find out. But, later. Not now.]
I'm asking one of the Jedi here, a man named Qui-Gon Jinn, to stay with you.
[Which is enough of an answer. If he wanted to know how Anakin confronted her, well, she's dodging that question until asked outright.]
[Hopefully Bail doesn't mind getting a message out of nowhere from a certain Jedi. Which is exactly what happens one evening a few days after Leia informed him that he was here.]
Bail Organa, you have been surprisingly quiet.
I apologize for not contacting you sooner, but I honestly had no idea you were even here.
[It should be a voice he recognizes at least.]
Re: Sometime after the Anakin disaster post talking to Leia.
[ Well, blame a certain grandson for this message that will be arriving very late in the evening/early night hours. Anakin will merely make sure that Obi-Wan is asleep and won't notice that Anakin is making late calls. ]
What do you think about Verens? Your honest opinion.
[Because Verens is something that's been on Leia's mind a lot lately, even more so when spending time with her father. Because things weren't so bad here. She could even say she liked it, that she wouldn't mind staying here. It was quiet and peaceful, and she had people she cared for here. Staying... as long as everyone else stayed with her, well, it wouldn't be so bad.
[An odd question in normal circumstances, but one Leia feels perfectly fine talking about here. Even more so now that his reaction isn't an inherently negative one. And as odd a question as it may be, it's no more odd than the almost fever-like warmth to her.]
I don't think it's so bad here. Like you said, it's peaceful. Even when there are problems, they're nothing that can't be solved quickly.
[Leia's memories aren't sorted fully until the end of the day after the cure was distributed. Being that it was so late then, and with how worried Han had been throughout the week, she couldn't exactly get up and go see her father as immediately as she would've wanted.
But bright and early the next morning, the first thing Leia does is head to her father's house. There's no real worry in her mind that she'd be waking him up as she knocks on his door. He's always been one to wake up early, for as far back as she can remember. The instant the door is opened, Leia wraps her arms around her father, with little care for how childish it might seem.]
[He can hold her as tightly as he wants, because Leia isn't about to complain. It's safe and comforting and the sort of reminder of home and who her family is that she needs after finding out she forgot everything about both of those.]
I don't know that you'd be very good at farming.
[A joke, to try and keep things light instead of focusing right now on how unsettling both of their different memories had been. She could say it wasn't him, that it's this place and not his fault, but those aren't reassuring and she knows it. Them not being true or their fault in any way doesn't make those memories any less disturbing.]
[Christmas isn't a thing in space, and Leia doesn't really need a holiday--space or otherwise--to get something for her father. But since she's getting gifts for everyone else (because it's only appropriate to participate in the celebration when people are also giving her gifts), of course she's going to include Bail in this.
What Bail gets from Leia is something special. In a pot appropriate for the plant, Bail will find the Dunamis-grown version of a Candlewick flower. It's not the same as the natural plant, it probably won't grow seeds on its own, but it's the same appearance-wise, and a reminder of home.]

[Especially here. With no Senate to keep up with]

It's not particularly important, but another conversation brought it to mind. Between Luke and I, which one of us is older?

You're twins. I thought you would have found that out with the rest.

It's stranger than home. Though in the balance, probably more peaceful.
[The Empire is... difficult to compete with]
